Abstract:
Face recognition attendance system integrated with thermal scanning door lock project is focused on resolving theexisting flaws in the current system while bringing the system to a whole new level by being favorable to the COVID-19pandemic. This system contributes to both the attendance taking and door unlocking. This system can be made possiblethrough image processing methods and thermal scanning. The system would really be helpful to have control on theattendance management, security and the spread of Coronavirus for Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS). This systemfocuses on a specific user which is the admin. The technology working behind will be the face recognition system andthermal scanning system. The language that will be used is Python. The hardware that will be used are Raspberry Pi 3model B+, Raspberry Pi camera module V1, thermal scanner and electric door.
