E-books have become a new trend in this era, especially when teachers must conduct online classes and give online homework. This e-book comprises writing exercises designed based on Chapters 6-8 of the Mandarin textbook (New Practical Chinese Reader). Students who take the UN00202 Mandarin Language Level II Course will use this e-book for their homework.
Hanzi (Chinese character) has commonly known as the most challenging part of studying the Mandarin language because of its complicated characters. Most non-native Chinese speakers feel that the Hanzi looks like a complex drawing and cannot extract its meaning. As Hanzi is constructed from several components, we designed the writing exercises to guide students on how to write the Hanzi step by step, from basic Chinese characters to more complex Chinese characters they saw in the text.
This e-book comprises six homework and two review exercises. There are two homework for each chapter. The first exercise is the writing of basic Chinese characters, and the second exercise is the writing of Chinese characters in the text. Students will learn to combine the basic Chinese characters to form the more complex Chinese characters they saw in the text. There are also making sentence exercises in the second homework of each chapter. This type of exercise aims to enhance students’ knowledge of the Hanzi and ensure they know how to apply the vocabulary in a sentence.
The e-book comes with two final review exercises. These review exercises include a review of strokes, strokes order, recognition of Hanzi, and making sentences. Students will have a big picture of all the important Hanzi and vocabulary they learned in these three chapters. |
