dc.description.abstract The focus of this article is, however, on the possible good that emanates from the ERL (Emergency Remote Learning) experience of the Malaysian higher education sector. Knowledge of this topic can inform higher education efforts to build back better by contextualizing the "What's next?" question. The key lessons learnt from ERL during the pandemic may potentially affect the direction and management of higher education in the long run. University teachers and students similarly need to be well-informed as they transition from ERL to the new normal. As we emerge from the crisis, what is particularly helpful is the aspects of curriculum delivery and future paths of teaching and learning practices. In this regard, the current article draws upon the ERL experience to illuminate some silver linings of COVID-19 for Malaysian higher education. en_US
