dc.description.abstract This poster summarizes the health beneficial properties of Germinated Brown Rice (GBR). GBR is a superior product from the germination process of brown rice. Various works have shown that GBR was documented to have high antioxidant potential, improve antioxidant status in type 2 diabetes, and possess antithrombotic effects. GBR also has the capability to protect neurons from oxidative stress-induced cytotoxicity, improve learning and memory and confer protection against neurodegenerative changes. It was suggested that potentiation of GBR bioactives during the process of germination of brown rice is mainly responsible for its health beneficial properties. en_US
