Abstract

Budgeting, Accounting, and Cost Control in Film Production This lecture addresses the preparation of production budgets based on script requirements and production scale. In addition to understanding above-the-line and below-the-line costs, students are introduced to basic accounting and cost control practices used in the industry, such as petty cash systems, purchase orders, expense tracking, and budget variance monitoring.
