Tigabu Island in Kudat is surrounded by vast and rich marine resources yet its community tells a different story. Unlike those residing in the mainland area elsewhere, island communities are a lot more isolated and marginalized in terms of access to clean water supply, electricity and roads. This left this community no other choice but to tame the sea and be the master of their environment and be the best of what they do, fishermen and sea-cucumber farming. |
