dc.description.abstract Neurofibromatosis type 1 is an autosomal dominant multisystem genetic disorder characterized by cutaneous signs such as skin neurofibromas and café au lait spots. Benign neurofibroma of the parapharyngeal space may occur as part of type 1 neurofibromatosis. Due to the complex anatomy of the parapharyngeal space, various surgical approaches have been devised for the excision of tumors in this area. In general, external approaches are more favored due to better surgical field exposure. Here, we present a rare case of a huge parapharyngeal space neurofibroma treated surgically through a transoral approach. en_US
