Abstract:
Female labour force participation is vital for Malaysia’s economic growth
and social development. Higher women’s economic engagement could
lower poverty in developing nations, increase women’s access to higherproductivity
industries and occupations, and accelerate global
economic growth (Syed Salleh & Mansor, 2022). According to Abu Bakar
and Abdullah (2010), while Malaysia is considered a newly industrialized
country, its female labor force participation rate is competitive with
industrialized nations in Asia and the Pacific. However, women’s
participation in the workforce remains significantly lower than that of
men.
