Abstract:
In Malaysia, gender stereotypes affect the industries
or sectors in which men and women are
concentrated, which leads to horizontal segregation.
For instance, because of societal norms and
traditional gender roles, women are frequently overrepresented
in administrative and caregiving
positions, while men rule in professions like
engineering and construction.
