Abstract:
Gender disparities in personal incomes and wages are prevalent in most European countries, with women earning less than men due to lower employment rates and average gross hourly to this gap include family responsibilities, occupational segregation, and discrimination, which subtract salaries before social security and income taxes (Understanding the Gender Pay Gap: Definition and Causes, EU Monitor, 2020).
