dc.description.abstract It is a tromal tumor, most common benign tumor of the female breast. The age incidence is mostly in 20-30 and there may be multiple, bilateral palpable mass. In older women, it appears as a mammographic density or clustered calcification. It composed of both epithelium & fibrous stromal components, epithelium components form glandular structures and lined by mammary duct-type epithelium. The stromal component is a loose, cellular form of fibrous tissue. In very large mass, the stromal may be myxomatous. Epithelial component is hormonally responsive and typically increase in size due to lactational changes during pregnancy. en_US
