• The habits, attitudes, tastes, moral standards, economic level, etc., that together
constitute the mode of living of an individual or group.
• Lifestyle is a complex and often generic concept that has been used and defined
in different ways in scientific research. Currently, there is no single definition of
lifestyle and the various fields of knowledge have developed theories and
research variables that are also distant from each other.
• Lifestyle, therefore, appears to be characterised in terms of behavioural models to
which the subject must adhere. The subject is represented as a naive scientist,
who simplistically tests hypotheses, or an accountants, who evaluate the costs
and benefits of behavioural change theories. |
