dc.description.abstract |
Malaysia operates as a federal constitutional monarchy with a parliamentary democracy, characterized by a unique political structure. The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, elected from among the nine hereditary rulers, serves as the ceremonial head of state, while the Prime Minister is the head of government, leading the executive branch. Legislative power is vested in a bicameral parliament, comprising the Dewan Rakyat (House of Representatives) and the Dewan Negara (Senate), with members elected and appointed respectively. The judiciary operates independently, ensuring a separation of powers within the government. This system promotes democratic governance while respecting Malaysia's cultural heritage and traditions. |
