Abstract:
This interview explores the experiences of a retiree who served in various districts of Sabah during the 1970s, including Kota Kinabalu, Tawau, Tenom, and the remote Pensiangan area. The narrative highlights the challenges of working in underdeveloped regions, such as being transported by helicopter to Pensiangan due to its inaccessibility by road. While stationed there, the interviewee undertook additional departmental responsibilities, earning an extra allowance for their contributions.
