dc.description.abstract The benign prostatic hyperplasia is the most common benign prostatic disease in men more than 50 years old. The prevalence of disease is 20% of men in 40 years of age, 70% at age 60, 90% at 80. It is a nodular hyperplasia of both stromal & epithelial cells. Grossly it is a large, fairly discrete nodules mainly in periurethral region. en_US
