Abstract:
The UniMadani project in Kota Belud focuses on empowering local communities through the production of kraf tudung saji as a foundational product. The initiative engages residents from Kg Lingkodon Tengah as the core participants, while also involving members from neighboring communities who share an interest in handicraft production. By participating in this collaborative effort, community members develop skills in design, production, and marketing, fostering entrepreneurship and economic self-sufficiency. The project emphasizes knowledge transfer, teamwork, and creativity, providing participants with both practical skills and opportunities to generate income. Furthermore, the initiative serves as a model for sustainable community development, demonstrating how local resources and collective effort can be leveraged to produce marketable products. The UniMadani project also highlights the importance of community engagement in preserving cultural heritage while promoting socio-economic growth in rural areas.
